NYC!!!

New York was so amazing!!!!! I had tons of fun with Julie and the family. We visited Times Square and I even got to see the Lion King on Broadway. I recamend it to anyone who has a chance to see it.

I got to walk down fifth avenue and cry over the fact that i couldn't afford to walk in Tiffany's much less buy anything. Central Park was beautiful, and Grand Central Station is overwhelmingly beautiful. I even got to see St. Patrick's for a breif moment.

I am even more excited to go back and see even more. I can't wait to see Nanaw and Nicole, and I really can't wait for my family to come up either

Oh and I took the Subway...Other than being very dirty, it was exciting and not that bad.

I took plenty of pictures and will put them up as soon as possible.

Be home in 19 days! Love you all

Day 42, 39 Left!

Update...

To diminish my ever growing boredom, I have begun taking on more hours at work. I now work Monday-Friday 9-5 as always, and 530-10 MWF and then 9-1 on Saturdays in the park. I work front gate selling or taking tickets. Hopefully the money will be flowing in soon.

Another reason I have decided to take on this extra workload is that I have decided that next May I will be buying a car. I am very excited and trying to to find the car I want right now. lol. My mom and I have spoke and we have decided that it will be smart and a learning opportunity to safe almost $300 each month and then at the end of a year if I have been able to do so, to buy a car, with a nice down payment. All advise is welcome.

Aunt Julie, Nanaw and Nicole, and my parents are all coming to visit and I am very excited and grateful. Hopefully with them here I will finally get to share the park with my loved ones and get a chance to see NYC. If anyone else would like to come see me, you are all welcome.

I am slowly making it through my reading list. I am now on the lost memoirs of Jane Austen. It is an interesting book, which is actually a fiction novel written as if the memoirs of of Jane Austen have been found and refurbished. It is an extraordinary piece of work, that i am enjoying immensely.

I have been running everyday or getting some type of exercise. I have been doing this for 6 weeks and am very proud of myself. I have almost completely decided that I will be buying an ipod used solely for running. I am excited and proud about this fact, because it means a great commitment to my running and my health in general. Brandon will be helping me with this, since he seems to be the Mac expert.

Work news...

My team for the Walk in the Park raised the most money and so we get a party. We will either get a Water Park Party, a Rides Party, or a BBQ. I am voting for the water.

My boss is buying lunch for all of us today from some fancy Italian restaurant. Yum Yum. He is doing this because the office has been crazy and everyone is working very hard in light of recent circumstances.

There is a Leanne Rimes concert on July 4Th that I am hoping to attend!

I think this is all the updates right now. I love and value your support. Thank you so much. All my love. KT

Day 31

Yesterday was the Walk in the Park. I raised $20 for the cause, thanks Grandma! As a park we raised over $61,000. Go Great Adventure. It was a cold and clody morning, but we made the best of it and had a good time. I got to pet a snake and the PBA bowlers were there. I have some pictures, and as always will try to get them up soon.

I have now successfully moved into my desk...I bought a paperclip holder, tissues, and scooby do bandaids. I love having something that is just mine, but I am out in the hall way so people ask me questions and I have no idea what the answers are. lol.

I have now rode all the coasters in the park and offically Kingda Ka is my favorite, and Bazzaro is second! I miss home still, and Kentucky in general. Mom it is safe to say New York and Jersey are out of the question.lol Brandon I miss you, but you already know that. I love you all. TTYL!

Day 17

Not much to say today...

Kingda ka is open, but I have not had the chance to ride it.

Saturday my roommate Shantel and I went shopping. We took the bus to Walmart, but missed the stop and went all the way to Freehold (about 1.5-2 more miles). Well instead of taking a bus back we decided to safe $2.65 and walk. I felt pretty stupid. But luckily it was a beautiful day and we had already planned on spending the whole day out. Oh and I got Starbucks for the first time in 3 weeks! It was amazing.

The family and Megan are planning to come up August 1st, which means I have 2 whole months open. I'd love to see any of you! Well I've got work to do. Love! Kt

Day 11

Let's see this is gonna be a lot! I have two roommates now...Irina and Shantal. Irina is 24 and from Peru. I think she is awesome. Saturday she and I had some fun in the park and Sunday we went shopping together. Shantal is from South Africa and she is 28. I don't really know her because she just arrived yesterday, but I think we will all get along great!

I went to the Harbor on Saturday and finished my latest book! It was very relaxing, but I did get a little burt. Work is going fine. I am learning tons of information that will help me later in life as well as becoming independant. I miss home very very much, and Kentucky Kingdom too. It kind of hard to explain what I do because really I just count information to make sure it is correct on the sheets. There is a tremendous amount of checking and rechecking here. Everyone is very nice and I am so happy to meet so many different people. Well I should get off here. Love you all! Kt

Day 4

#1 I do not remember what I wrote on my last blog so if I repeat anything...I'm sorry.

#2 Sunday was fun...I took a bus to Walmart and met a few guys who seem pretty cool. I cleaned my place up and got some essentials. I also found out that there is a mini store onsite incase I need toilet paper again. lol

#3 Yesterday I met my boss who seems cool and got shown the place I will work in. I also got to go in the park!!! It was awesome. The park reminds me A LOT of Kings Island. The coasters are amazing, but Kingda Ka is currently down. I will let you know what it is like asap. The water park opens this weekend so hopefully I will get to go see it and lay out and get a tan. Kingdom people just a side bar...discounts in food and merchandise here!!! Made me happy! lol. Best rides so far El Toro and Nitro, but I did skip a few. Side note...do not eat within 2 hrs of coming to the park...you will puke! lol.

#4 Had my first day of work today!!! It was slightly boring but I did meet some really cool people. I have my own desk and my own computer...but I have to wait to get a password. I learned how to do bags today...lots of counting. But all in all I will learn basic accounting stuff, much of which I will only use at Six Flags.

Other than that things are great! No roommates yet, but I keep praying. It gets lonely and scary at night. I found out that while in Jersey I have to have a pork roll...I'll let you know what thats like. Other than that I'm trying to have fun and forcing myself to run everyday! I kno, I kno its good for me. *sticks out tongue*

Love you all and miss you!
