Updates...

So I got a call today!!! My "home" for the summer will be on-site, so I can simply roll out of bed and skip into work! Also my home is basically a 2 bedroom apartment. It will be set up like a dorm so I will have a roommate, so there will be four people living with me. We will have our own bathroom and full kitchen, for which they will provide pots and pans and other kitchen stuff. I assume there will be a living room area there too. It sounds great!!! My roommates will more than likely be international students. (there Brandon) So i get to learn about them too! Also they should be working the regular park hours, 11-8, and so I will be able to get up early enough to get a shower before them, and get home before them.

To remind everyone (Josh) I leave around May 19th, although I may leave a day or two before and I will return near the end of July. I would love to have any of you come to visit, but with this new information, please do not assume you can stay with me. lol. Also I need a little help with the plane tickets and all the other plans. I don't want anyone to do it for me(mom), but I know many of you travel often and might have a few ideas. I just need to know where to look because searching plane tickets on google is taking me no where. Also Josh since you are used to these kind of things can you tell me how early you think I should get there. The boss asked me to come in on May19th, so I figured I should fly in on the 18th. Is a day enough time?

Welp just fyi classes are going good. Just got high Bs on my 2 exams last week and I am studying hard for my 2 this week. Work is good and I'm working hard. Also any cards, packages, or emails are very appreciated. Hope you guys are having fun! God bless.

  1. Ok, Katie, if you insist...I will restrain my charitable heart and squelch my generosity so that you can say, "I did it!" And I know that you will because you're independent, confident and capable (and because so many helpful people love you.) Besides, I can use some more pedicures and tanning bed visits. Or maybe, since you don't want me and your dad stowing away under your roomate's bed, I'll put it toward buying a tent to set up in the parking lot. Keep up the very good work. I'm glad your classes are going so well!
    Love,
    mom

  2. For finding flights, use www.kayak.com - its super easy.

I would just make sure you get there a couple days before you start work, so you can setup and get to know the area.

    have fun!

I had tried but didn't know how to do it. sorry, the new techy stuff is above my senior head. I am so glad you are excited about this summer. It will be great and such a growing experience for you.
Hey, some good news, Donna Sharp, Inc. has overtaken Vera Bradley for the number one spot in the field of textile purses in the Northeast and moved up to 6th in the nation. AND YOUR GRANDMA works for Donna and get to see and talk to her all the time. It that great or what. So I am almost famous too, right?
Love you, you are doing a great job. Good luck with the test, etc. Love you, Grandma,
ps. I don't have your address so how can I write to you or send you mail. Put it in an email. How many people get to see this.?
